ReplyDeleteWow, can't wait for the pictures!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh congratulations!!! You're going to have a blast!! Can't wait to live vicariously through you!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! I lived in Athens for a summer a couple years ago, and fell in the with the country. You will love it! And if you go to Corinth, you should eat at Nico's right by the ruins of the actual city of Corinth...best meal of my life! Excited for you.
ReplyDeleteYou're awesome. I can't wait for this adventure of yours!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness...how did I miss this announcement?!? I cannot waiiiit to follow your travels in Europe! Seriously this is such an amazing opportunity and I am very excited for you! (I'm also quite jealous!)
ReplyDeleteI just stumbled upon your blog this morning and found this post and got SO excited for you, haha. I actually just got back from studying abroad in Greece for a month in August/September. You're going to so fall in love. Myceane is hot hot hot, Epidauros' theatre is the most surreal thing you'll ever sit in, the Corinth Canal is beautiful, and Delphi and the little town you'll drive through beforehand is stunning. Go to the Acropolis as much as you can, and be sure to get there at 8am, before the tourists. Every time you go, it will take your breath away. also, please eat a gyro for me (they come with french fries INSIDE of them. what!), and make it to your local Friday Farmer's Market!
ReplyDeleteAlso, forewarning Greek men (at least the ones in Athens) are VERY upfront about staring at women. Most will be the ones standing outside the restaurants, trying to get you to come in. Ignoring does NOT work. However, saying 'No thank you.' in Greek (pronounced oh-he, ef-care-ih-stow - no, thank you) let's them know you're serious and will get them to leave you alone :)
goodness, you're going to LOVE Greece :)
