a heavy heart

I had planned on writing another reminiscent post of backpacking Europe, but my heart is hurting for so many things, and so I am asking for prayers.

I am thankful for the Holy Spirit “who intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.”

1. Julee Turner

As I’m sure you have heard (because the blogging world is after God’s own heart), this sweet woman has lost her husband to a car accident. They have a baby daughter. My heart has been aching for her, because I can’t imagine. But God has a plan, His ways are so much higher than ours, and He knows. He knows. And He makes ALL things work together for our good. Praying that over Julee today. Please, please go to the Lord’s feet for her.

2. Jenifer

My cousin Jenifer is facing an uphill battle with cervical cancer. She had surgery last week and is starting chemotherapy and radiation this week. Our God is a God who heals! I am confident in that. Please go before God for her.

3. Corbin

A teenager from my home church family took a hard hit in football yesterday and has a bleed in his brain. As I said before, our God is a God who heals and I am confident that He is working in Corbin’s life.

We worship a God who gives and takes away, and we trust because that’s what faith is and because we know what He’s done for us. Praise God for His good and perfect will, even when we don’t understand.
