Friendsgiving

Last week before we left school for Thanksgiving break we celebrated friend-style. We tried our hands at house-wifery and made mashed potatoes, corn bread casserole, green beans, breads, pasta, and desserts. And in true domestic fashion, I picked up a rotisserie chicken from Walmart. It felt very, “I’ve been taking care of the children all day and cleaning so I’ll just pick something up.” Ya know? Just indulge me. Ok, moving on.

When desserts were served, so was tea.

We wrote what we were thankful for on construction paper crafted leaves and taped them to a makeshift tree.

And then, like true girls, we curled hair. (I’m dressed like an Indian because I looooove Indians and I think I’m like 1/18th Cherokee or something like that.)

Friendsgiving was a huge success!

Next party: Christmas cookie swap!
