Day 4: Christ Has No Body

Christ has no body on earth but yours, no hands but yours, no feet but yours.Yours are the eyes through which Christ's compassion for the world is to look out; yours are the feet with which He is to go about doing good; and yours are the hands with which He is to bless us now.

The truth of this quote ebbs its way deep into my heart every time I read it. We live in a lost and broken world, a world that doesn’t see a lot of salt and light. A world 2,000 years post the life, crucifixion, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. He is no longer here in the physical realm, but He is here in the spiritual realm, and His spirit lives in me, and I am His hands, and His feet. And the beauty of the kingdom of God is that you are, too. You are His hands, His feet, His mouth, His heart. And it is together that we will bring forth the Body, it is together we will rise to meet Him one day, it is together that we will enter into the gates of the kingdom of Heaven.

Goodness, I can hardly wait.

  1. This is beautiful. Thanks for sharing. What a different place this world might be if we all lived our lives like that. Where is the quote originally from?
