The Iota Chi 2012 Pledge Group made a Facebook group—an original 36 members. However, the creator left the group “Open” to the public, and a fellow Harding University student saw. He joined, invited 3 friends, and within 36 hours—36 HOURS—the group grew to a whopping 21,000 members.
21,000!!
People from our sister schools—Freed Hardeman, Pepperdine, OCU, Abilene Christian—have joined now, and we’ve started selling pins and an MP3 download (of an Iota Chi rap, it’s awesome) to raise money for a fellow Sister who is a recent survivor of breast cancer.
The group spread as a joke (and is still hilarious) but God’s glory has shone through and we’ve been given an opportunity to help a young woman who has struggled through the year with breast cancer.
We’d love for you, and your friends, and your schools, to join in on the efforts!
